Haikus Not For Lactose Intolerant

June is National Dairy Month. And, yeah, some rich, creamy ice cream wreaks havoc on our guts, but we’re celebrating just the same. So, happy Dairy Month to all those who celebrate:

Dairy Month arrives,

Celebrating farmers' toil,

Milk's nourishing grace.

June honors the cows,

Nature's gifts, milk and cheese,

Dairy's endless feast.

Creamy yogurt gleams,

Probiotics, health supreme,

Dairy's cultured dream.

Golden butter's spread,

On warm bread, a taste divine,

Dairy's smooth delight.

Ice cream's sweet delight,

June heat melts on eager tongues,

Dairy's cool respite.

Whipped cream atop,

Berries dance on tender lips,

Dairy's sweet encore.

Cheese, a savory,

From cheddar to gouda's fame,

Dairy's aged treasure.

Milky mornings start,

Cereal dances in bowls,

Dairy's daybreak joy.

Milk, liquid of life,

Calcium's gift, strong and true,

Dairy's wholesome sip.

Dairy Month's embrace,

Honors farmers, gifts they share,

Nature's bounty thrives.
